- WHO IS QMR QUICK START FOR?

- This is a brief introduction to QMR and how to install and use
- it. For more detailed instructions, ordering and license agreement
- information, or an explanation of how QMR works, print QMR.DOC by
- typing COPY QMR.DOC PRN from DOS.

- WHAT IS QUICK MEMO REMINDER?
-
- QMR is a hassle-free calendar program. If you manage projects
- or forget birthdays or appointments you will find QMR indispensable.
- When you turn on your computer, QMR reminds you of the dates entered
- in your calendar. You choose how often QMR reminds you, daily, weekly,
- or monthly. QMR is non-intrusive and so will not interrupt you while
- you are working with other applications.

- QMR has been distributed as ShareWare and is not public domain
- software. Non-registered users are granted use of QMR for a limited
- trial period. If you keep QMR and use it, you are expected to
- register it. For information about the expanded capabilities of the
- registered version of QMR and how to register, see QMR.DOC.

- WHAT ARE THE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS?

- IBM XT, AT, 386, or compatibles; DOS 2.0 or higher; MGA, CGA,
- EGA, or VGA monitors; 125K memory; hard disk recommended.

- HOW DO YOU INSTALL QMR?
-
- You should have these QMR files: QS.EXE; QE.EXE; QMR.DAT;
- ORDER.EXE; QIKSTART.DOC; QMR.DOC; README.DOC; HDINSTAL.BAT;
- FLINSTAL.BAT; DISTRIB.DOC. QMR creates several additional files.

- To install QMR on a hard disk system, type HDINSTAL followed
- by the drive letter without a colon. To install QMR on a floppy
- disk, type FLINSTAL at the prompt. To add QMR to your autoexec
- file, add these commands near the beginning of your AUTOEXEC.BAT
- file: CD\QMR and QS.

- HOW DO YOU USE QMR?

- 1. To add, edit, or delete memos, or to set colors or defaults, type
- QE.EXE at the DOS command prompt (A:\ or C:\) and press ENTER.

- 2. To select options, use the arrow keys to highlight an option
- and press ENTER, OR press the highlighted letter of the desired
- option. Dates must have 8 digits. Use + or the space bar to
- select songs. ESC returns you to previous screens.
